Abnormalities of calcium and mineral metabolism are described in relation to the differential diagnosis, clinical characteristics, diagnostic procedures, and treatment of infants and children with hypocalcemia, hypercalcemia, rickets, chronic renal insufficiency, and other disorders of calcium metabolism.
