Abstract
The reaction of bovine insulin with the hydrophilic reagent 1-fluoro-2-nitro-4-trimethylammoniobenzene iodide at pH 8.2 has been reexamined. From the mixture of products a crystalline derivative substituted at the GlyAl terminus has been isolated. It has been characterized by amino acid analysis, end group analysis, cellulose acetate electrophoresis and sulphitolysis. The derivative has a biological activity (mouse convulsion assay) of 60% relative to insulin.

已重新研究了牛胰岛素在pH 8.2条件下与亲水性试剂1-氟-2-硝基-4-三甲基铵苯碘化物的反应。从产物混合物中分离出了一种在GlyAl末端被取代的结晶衍生物。已通过氨基酸分析、端基分析、醋酸纤维素电泳和亚硫酸解对其进行了表征。该衍生物相对于胰岛素的生物活性（小鼠惊厥试验）为60%。
