Abstract

The influence of treatment with increasing oral doses of three absorbable antibiotics on the colonization resistance of the digestive tract was investigated in mice. Mice treated with ampicillin or epicillin in any of the applied doses had a strongly decreased colonization resistance as demonstrated by 'bacterial overgrowth' after contamination with resistant strains of Escherichia coli. After a treatment period 2 weeks, Streptococcus faecalis became resistant in a number of animals. Oral treatment with cephradine on the other hand had no obvious influence on the endogenous flora of the mice, nor was the colonization resistance decreased.

研究了口服递增剂量的三种可吸收抗生素对小鼠消化道定植抗力的影响。用任何一种剂量的氨苄青霉素或依匹西林治疗的小鼠,其定植抗力均显著降低,这可通过用耐药性大肠杆菌菌株污染后出现的“细菌过度生长”来证明。治疗2周后,一些动物体内的粪肠球菌产生了耐药性。另一方面,用头孢拉定进行口服治疗对小鼠的内源性菌群没有明显影响,其定植抗力也没有降低。
