Trypanocidal constituents of Pogostemon cablin were investigated. Activity guided isolation of the acetone extract resulted in isolation of three new sesquiterpene hydroperoxides 1-3, together with a known sesquiterpene, patchouli alcohol (4). In vitro minimum lethal concentrations of the hydroperoxides 1-3 against epimastigotes of Trypanosoma cruzi were 0.84 microM (1), 1.7 microM (2) and 1.7 microM (3). The activity of the corresponding alcohols and patchouli alcohol was very weak (MLC>200 microM).
对广藿香的杀锥虫成分进行了研究。通过活性导向分离丙酮提取物,得到了三种新的倍半萜氢过氧化物1-3,以及一种已知的倍半萜——广藿香醇(4)。氢过氧化物1-3对克氏锥虫前鞭毛体的体外最低致死浓度分别为0.84微摩尔/升(1)、1.7微摩尔/升(2)和1.7微摩尔/升(3)。相应的醇类和广藿香醇的活性非常弱(最低致死浓度>200微摩尔/升)。
