Abstract

. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role and efficiency of the locally injected vitamin C in the treatment of persistent gingival inflammation. . Twenty adult patients with persistent chronic gingival inflammation were included in this study. The same dose of sterile vitamin C was injected in gingival tissues after the completion of phase I therapy. Gingival biopsies were taken after total resolution of inflammation. The specimens were examined histologically, using H&E stain. . Clinical evaluation revealed great improvement of the injected sites with recall visits. Histopathological results revealed marked decrease in inflammatory cells and epithelial thickness and a higher number of newly formed subbasal capillaries. . Vitamin C is an effective adjunctive treatment in reducing various degrees of chronic gingival inflammation.

摘要

本研究的目的是探讨局部注射维生素C在治疗持续性牙龈炎症中的作用和效果。本研究纳入了20例患有持续性慢性牙龈炎症的成年患者。在I期治疗完成后,将相同剂量的无菌维生素C注射到牙龈组织中。炎症完全消退后进行牙龈活检。使用苏木精-伊红染色对标本进行组织学检查。临床评估显示,随访时注射部位有明显改善。组织病理学结果显示炎症细胞和上皮厚度明显减少,新形成的基底下层毛细血管数量增加。维生素C是减轻各种程度慢性牙龈炎症的有效辅助治疗方法。
