A Gram-stain-negative, rod-shaped, bacterial strain, B448-2, was isolated from an ice core from the Muztagh Glacier, on the Tibetan Plateau. B448-2 grew optimally at pH 7.0 and 20 °C in the presence of 0-1.0 % (w/v) NaCl. The results of 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity analysis indicated that B448-2 was closely related to Massilia eurypsychrophila CGMCC 1.12828, Rugamonas rubra CCM3730 and Duganella zoogloeoides JCM20729 at levels of 97.8, 97.7 and 97.3 %, respectively. The predominant fatty acids of B448-2 were summed feature 3 (C16 : 1ω7c and/or C16 : 1ω6c) and C16 : 0. The predominant isoprenoid quinone was Q-8. The major polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol and diphosphatidylglycerol. The genomic DNA G+C content of the strain was 66.1 mol%. In DNA-DNA hybridization tests, B448-2 shared 37.6 % DNA-DNA relatedness with Massilia eurypsychrophila CGMCC 1.12828. On the basis of the results for phenotypic and chemotaxonomic characteristics, B448-2 was considered to represent a novel species of the genus Massilia, for which the name Massiliaglaciei sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is B448-2 (=JCM 30271=CGMCC 1.12920).
从青藏高原慕士塔格冰川的冰芯中分离出一株革兰氏阴性、杆状细菌菌株B448-2。B448-2在pH 7.0和20°C、0-1.0%（w/v）NaCl存在的条件下生长最佳。16S rRNA基因序列相似性分析结果表明，B448-2与嗜冷嗜麦芽窄食单胞菌CGMCC 1.12828、红色鲁加莫纳菌CCM3730和佐氏杜根菌JCM20729的亲缘关系较近，相似性水平分别为97.8%、97.7%和97.3%。B448-2的主要脂肪酸为特征性脂肪酸3（C16:1ω7c和/或C16:1ω6c）和C16:0。主要类异戊二烯醌为Q-8。主要极性脂为磷脂酰乙醇胺、磷脂酰甘油和双磷脂酰甘油。该菌株的基因组DNA G+C含量为66.1 mol%。在DNA-DNA杂交试验中，B448-2与嗜冷嗜麦芽窄食单胞菌CGMCC 1.12828的DNA-DNA相关性为37.6%。根据表型和化学分类特征的结果，B448-2被认为代表嗜麦芽窄食单胞菌属的一个新物种，为此提出新名称嗜麦芽窄食单胞菌冰川亚种（Massiliaglaciei sp. nov.）。模式菌株为B448-2（=JCM 30271=CGMCC 1.12920）。
