As an important endogenous gaseous signaling molecule, hydrogen sulfide (HS) exerts various effects in the body. A variety of pathological changes, such as cancer, glycometabolic disorders, and diabetes, are associated with altered endogenous levels of HS, especially decreased. Therefore, the supplement of HS is of great significance for the treatment of diseases containing the above pathological changes. At present, many efforts have been made to increase the levels of HS by administration of gaseous HS, simple inorganic sulfide salts, sophisticated synthetic slow-releasing controllable HS donors or materials, and using HS stimulating agents. In this article, we reviewed the recent development of HS releasing/stimulating reagents and their potential applications in two common pathological processes including cancer and glycometabolic disorders.
作为一种重要的内源性气体信号分子,硫化氢(HS)在体内发挥着多种作用。多种病理变化,如癌症、糖代谢紊乱和糖尿病,都与内源性HS水平的改变有关,尤其是降低。因此,补充HS对治疗包含上述病理变化的疾病具有重要意义。目前,人们已经做出了许多努力,通过施用气态HS、简单的无机硫化物盐、复杂的合成缓释可控HS供体或材料以及使用HS刺激剂来提高HS水平。在本文中,我们综述了HS释放/刺激试剂的最新进展及其在癌症和糖代谢紊乱这两种常见病理过程中的潜在应用。
