spp. can cause mild-to-severe human infections. Certain species have been described as the etiologic agent of human mastitis, inflammation of the breast tissue. Mastitis affects millions of lactating women and can be a source of disease transmission to the infant. In this work, we report the detection of the unusual etiologic agent of human mastitis, , isolated from the milk of a puerperal woman with subacute mastitis in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Species identification was performed by MALDI-TOF MS and genetic sequencing. The patient had a full recovery after antifungal therapy.
某些物种可导致人类从轻度到重度感染。某些物种已被描述为人类乳腺炎(乳腺组织炎症)的病原体。乳腺炎影响着数百万哺乳期妇女,并且可能是疾病传播给婴儿的一个来源。在这项工作中,我们报告了从巴西里约热内卢一名患有亚急性乳腺炎的产妇乳汁中分离出的人类乳腺炎不寻常病原体的检测情况。通过基质辅助激光解吸电离飞行时间质谱(MALDI-TOF MS)和基因测序进行物种鉴定。患者在抗真菌治疗后完全康复。
