Abstract

(Apocynaceae), endangered species in Korea, is a perennial herb that is economically important as traditional medicine and used as ornamentals. Natural populations of this species are facing extinction due to small population size and isolated distribution. Here, we report the complete chloroplast (cp) genome of using Illumina HiSeq sequencing and its phylogenetic position in subfamily Rauvolfioideae based on 20 Apocynaceae cp genomes. The cp genome of was 154,242 bp in length with a pair of inverted repeats of 25,711 bp, separated by large single-copy and small single-copy regions of 85,382 bp and 17,438 bp, respectively. Our phylogenomic analyses revealed that was closely related to in Rauvolfioideae (Apocynaceae).

摘要

夹竹桃科植物,韩国的濒危物种,是一种多年生草本植物,作为传统药物具有重要经济价值且用作观赏植物。该物种的自然种群因种群规模小和分布孤立而面临灭绝。在此,我们报告了基于20个夹竹桃科叶绿体基因组,利用Illumina HiSeq测序获得的该植物完整叶绿体(cp)基因组及其在萝芙木亚科中的系统发育位置。该植物的叶绿体基因组长度为154,242 bp,有一对25,711 bp的反向重复序列,分别被85,382 bp的大单拷贝区域和17,438 bp的小单拷贝区域隔开。我们的系统发育基因组学分析表明,该植物在萝芙木亚科(夹竹桃科)中与某植物密切相关。
