Abstract

AIM

To compare and evaluate the remineralizing potential of four commercially available products namely SHY-NM, GC Tooth Mousse Plus, ReminPro and Colgate strong teeth on demineralized human teeth.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

The study included 50 extracted premolars having 3 × 3 mm window prepared on the middle third of the tooth, which was then subjected to demineralization for 48 hours at 37°C. Teeth were randomly selected and grouped into five study groups of 10 teeth in each. Each group was treated with respective remineralizing agent and sectioned using hard-tissue microtome. Each section obtained was visualized under polarized light microscope and analyzed using Image J software.

RESULTS

The statistically evaluated results revealed that SHY-NM has the most remineralizing potential followed by ReminPro, GC Tooth Mousse Plus and fluoridated toothpaste.

CONCLUSION

Based on the study, the SHY-NM was superior to the GC Tooth Mousse Plus, ReminPro and Colgate strong teeth on demineralized human teeth. 摘要

目的

比较和评估四种市售产品SHY-NM、GC护齿泡沫加强型、ReminPro和高露洁坚固牙齿对脱矿人牙的再矿化潜力。

材料与方法

该研究纳入50颗拔除的前磨牙,在牙齿中1/3制备3×3mm的窗口,然后在37°C下脱矿48小时。随机选择牙齿并分为五个研究组,每组10颗牙齿。每组用相应的再矿化剂处理,并用硬组织切片机切片。获得的每个切片在偏光显微镜下观察并用Image J软件分析。

结果

经统计学评估的结果显示,SHY-NM的再矿化潜力最大,其次是ReminPro、GC护齿泡沫加强型和含氟牙膏。

结论
