Abstract

It was found that manifestation of the tetracycline resistance gene depended on the type of the plasmid containing the gene. The tetracycline resistance gene was subject to less repression in plasmid R6 than in plasmid RP4. Sensitivity of the initial plasmid-free bacteria varied within lower dose ranges than that of the plasmid-carrying strains. Regulation of the tetracycline resistance gene manifestation in the given plasmid may change in different bacterial hosts, i.e. in different cytoplasmic environment at different gene background.

研究发现,四环素抗性基因的表现取决于携带该基因的质粒类型。四环素抗性基因在质粒R6中受到的抑制比在质粒RP4中少。初始无质粒细菌在较低剂量范围内的敏感性变化比携带质粒的菌株小。给定质粒中四环素抗性基因表现的调控在不同细菌宿主中可能会发生变化,即在不同基因背景下的不同细胞质环境中。
