Abstract

L., also known as the "Salvation Plant", has been long used and well-documented in traditional medicine around the globe. Its bioactive compounds, and especially its polyphenol profile, have been extensively researched and reviewed. However, sage's beneficial effects reach much further, and nowadays, with a range of new extraction techniques, we are discovering new components with new therapeutic effects, especially in the context of neurodegenerative diseases and various carcinomas. This review describes the bioactive profile of various sage preparations depending on the extraction techniques and extraction parameters, and this review lists the newest research findings on its health effects.

鼠尾草,也被称为“救心草”,在全球传统医学中有着悠久的使用历史且有充分记载。其生物活性化合物,尤其是多酚类成分,已得到广泛研究和综述。然而,鼠尾草的有益作用远不止于此,如今,随着一系列新的提取技术的出现,我们正在发现具有新治疗效果的新成分,尤其是在神经退行性疾病和各种癌症的背景下。本综述描述了根据提取技术和提取参数不同的各种鼠尾草制剂的生物活性概况,并列出了其健康影响的最新研究发现。
