Non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) are an unusual cause of osteomyelitis. is an uncommon cause of human disease. We describe here the first case of osteomyelitis in a 49-year-old man who underwent left knee anterior cruciate ligament and medial meniscal repair which was complicated by recurrent septic arthritis and surgical site infection. As a consequence, he underwent multiple surgical debridements. Ultimately, left proximal tibial osteomyelitis was diagnosed and was recovered from the tissue biopsy culture. Clinical improvement was achieved following surgical removal of the prosthesis along with prolonged combination antimicrobial therapy.
非结核分枝杆菌（NTM）是骨髓炎的一种不常见病因。它是人类疾病的罕见病因。我们在此描述了首例49岁男性的骨髓炎病例，该患者接受了左膝前交叉韧带和内侧半月板修复手术，术后并发复发性化脓性关节炎和手术部位感染。因此，他接受了多次手术清创。最终，诊断为左胫骨近端骨髓炎，且在组织活检培养中发现了非结核分枝杆菌。在手术取出假体并进行长期联合抗菌治疗后，临床症状得到改善。
